September–May, Lincoln City
Fall harkens the beginning of the Lincoln City Cultural Center’s (LCCC) Celtic Concert series—a time-honored annual event that brings Irish, Scottish, American, and fusion music and dance from around the Celtic-verse to the north coast. This year’s series presents a new lineup of nine exciting musical performers.
High Time, a new trio from Connemara, Ireland, will perform at the LCCC on September 15. On October 18, the supergroup DAIMH, who have performed in more than 20 countries across the world, bring their own contemporary take on Gaelic and Highland music to Lincoln City. The November 10 concert features the heavenly harmonies of The Lasses, Sophie Janna and Margot Merah, who present melodious arrangements on bodhrán and guitar.
The series continues on December 12 with the WinterDance holiday concert, Johnny B. Connolly and Casey Neill on January 12, The Browne Sisters and George Cavanaugh on February 2, Téada on March 15, Kevin Burke on April 12, with the season finale on May 14 with the eclectic quartet Banshee in the Kitchen.
Tickets to the Celtic Concert series are available at the LCCC or online. (541-994-9994; lincolncity-culturalcenter.org)
