SILKY, FLAVORFUL CHEESES, fresh out-of-the ocean seafood, smoked meat, and a bounty of fruits and vegetables— those are just a few of the foods that the North Coast is known for. Foodies who want to get to know this artisan cuisine a little better can partake in the region’s bounty at Crave the Coast, held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on September 28 in Garibaldi, along Tillamook Bay. The festival showcases a delicious diversity of cheeses, beer, coffee, fresh seafood, meats, and farmers market produce, along with treats like jams and popcorn—all locally sourced. Attendees will get the chance to meet more than 40 local chefs, business owners, winemakers and growers through sips, samples, and cooking demonstrations. The event takes place at the Port of Garibaldi Event Tent, located at 107 Jerry Creasy Way in Garibaldi. Tickets are $25 online (kids under 12 are free) and are available for purchase on the Crave the Coast website or at the door for $30.
